Garrett Popcorn Shops was founded by Gladys Otto, a female entrepreneur, whose secret family popcorn recipes – CaramelCrisp®, CheeseCorn, Buttery and Plain – were sold for five cents a bag along with fudge and nuts. Just like today, everything was handcrafted – made fresh, hand scooped and precisely weighed.
